Stair Lift Installation:

For a standard stair lift installation the stairs must be at least 30” wide, there must be a minimum of 7” of space beyond the riser at the top of the staircase and there must be at least 13” of space beyond the bottom riser at the bottom of the staircase. The track is mounted to the stairs and sits 8" away from the wall.

For STRAIGHT STAIR LIFTS the track length from the top nosing to the floor and the width of the staircase is required. It is also important to consider whether the lift is to be mounted on the left or right side of the staircase. The maximum length for a standard straight lift is 15 treads.

Stair lifts are also available for curved staircases.
